PRO PLUS Straight Blade

The PRO PLUS is Western's heavier-duty commercial straight blade, with a 31½" tall 12-gauge powder-coated steel moldboard and a 65-degree attack angle. Western rates the 8' model for Truck Class 2 and 3, and the 8'6" model for Truck Class 2–5. Both are also rated for tractors and skid-steers under 50 HP.

WIDE-OUT and WIDE-OUT XL Winged Plows

The WIDE-OUT has independently controlled wings that extend for wide passes on open lots and pull in at the push of a button for tighter areas. The WIDE-OUT XL goes from 8'6" to 11' in straight-blade mode, making it Western's widest plow for trucks and tractors. Western rates the WIDE-OUT for Truck Class 2–5 and tractors, and the WIDE-OUT XL for Truck Class 2–6.

IMPACT Heavy-Duty UTV Plows

Western's IMPACT Heavy-Duty plows are built for utility vehicles and compact tractors, with an easy-on/easy-off mount, removable receiver brackets for ground clearance, and Scrape Lock for clean scraping and back-dragging. Western rates the IMPACT Heavy-Duty line for full-sized and heavy-duty work UTVs. The V-plow is a good fit for sidewalks, paths and farm lanes where snow needs to go in different directions.

Which Western Plow Fits a Half-Ton Truck?

Western's Quick Match lists the 7'6" HTS straight blade and the 7'6" ENFORCER V-plow as its half-ton plows. Larger models like the PRO-PLOW 3 are rated by truck class, so run your truck through Western Quick Match and call us with the results.

Should I Choose the MVP 3 V-Plow or the WIDE-OUT Winged Plow?

The MVP 3 is the better choice if you break through drifts and stack snow in tight spots, since it works in V, scoop, angle and straight positions. The WIDE-OUT is made for wide-open lots, with wings that extend for wider passes and pull in for tighter areas.

Does Western Make a Plow for My UTV?

Yes. The 6' IMPACT Heavy-Duty V-plow and straight blade are built for full-sized and heavy-duty work UTVs, and Western says they also fit compact tractors. Both are in stock at Hilly Ridge.

How Much Does a Western Plow Weigh?

Western lists approximate blade weights of 617 lb for the 8' PRO-PLOW 3, 823–840 lb for the PRO PLUS, 988–1,070 lb for the MVP 3 and 1,057–1,120 lb for the WIDE-OUT series. These numbers don't include the vehicle mount, which adds about 28 to 145 lb.
