Description
Oregon 100' Reel Professional Full Chisel Chainsaw Chain – 3/8" Pitch, .050" Gauge – 1640 Drive Links
Build custom chainsaw loops with this Oregon 100' Reel of Professional Full Chisel Chainsaw Chain. Designed for chainsaw dealers, repair shops, professional loggers, arborists, and other high-volume users, this bulk chain provides the same aggressive cutting performance and professional-grade durability as Oregon's pre-made chain loops while allowing you to manufacture chains in the exact drive link count required for each application.
This product is a 100-foot bulk reel of chainsaw chain containing approximately 1,640 drive links. It is not a finished, ready-to-install chain loop. Individual chain loops must be cut to the required drive link count and properly joined before installation.
Always verify the chain specifications required by the guide bar and chainsaw:
- 3/8" (.375") Pitch
- .050" (1.3 mm) Gauge
- Correct Drive Link Count for the Desired Chain Loop
Bar length alone does not determine the correct number of drive links. Guide bars of the same nominal length can require different drive link counts depending on the saw, bar mount, and bar design.
Important: Making chainsaw loops requires the correct chain breaker, spinner, presets/tie straps, and proper assembly procedures. Improperly assembled chain can separate during operation and cause serious injury.
If you're unsure, contact us with your chainsaw model number, guide bar information, and desired drive link count, and we'll help verify the correct chain specifications before you order.

What This Chain Does
This Oregon 100' bulk chain reel allows dealers, repair shops, and professional users to manufacture replacement chains in the exact drive link count required for a particular chainsaw and guide bar combination. Instead of stocking numerous individual chain loops, the bulk reel can be cut and joined to produce a wide variety of custom chain lengths using the same 3/8" pitch and .050" gauge chain.
The professional full-chisel cutter profile is designed for fast, efficient timber cutting, while Oregon's OCS-01 steel and proprietary cutter technology provide the durability required for demanding workloads. LubriTec™ technology helps distribute oil to critical areas of the chain and guide bar to reduce friction and extend component life.

Chain Loop Assembly Tips
- Use a chainsaw chain breaker designed for the chain pitch and type when separating the bulk chain.
- Count drive links carefully before breaking the chain. The finished loop must have the exact drive link count required by the guide bar.
- Use only the correct compatible presets and tie straps when joining the chain.
- Use a properly adjusted chain spinner to form the rivet heads and securely join the chain loop.
- After spinning, verify that the repaired joint articulates freely without excessive side play or binding.
- Compare the finished loop against the required pitch, gauge, and drive link count before installing it on a chainsaw.
- Never install or operate a chain with a damaged, loose, improperly spun, or binding connection.
- After installation, adjust chain tension according to the chainsaw manufacturer's specifications and verify proper chain lubrication.
- Chain loop fabrication should be performed only by personnel familiar with chainsaw chain assembly and the proper use of chain breaking and spinning equipment.
