601798 & 601710 Explanation - Hustler OEM 601798 Brake Rod Assembly is the Upper Brake Rod that Connects and Relate the Motion of the Operator's Brake Handle 110645 & Yoke Assembly 119748P to the to the Lower Brake Bell Crank 124380-3. The Lower Bell Crank 124380-3 Also Contain a Secondary or Lower Brake Rod Assembly 601710 that Attaches to a Bracket (Varies by Model) that attaches to Both Brake Arms on the Left & Right Hydro Pump. Hustler 601978 & 601710 Brake Rods is Adjustable to Ensure the Brakes are Engaged at the Same time the Neutral Position is Locked in the Steering Yoke when the Operator's Brake Neutral Handle is Insert into the Lock Position on the Operator's Console.
