Hustler OEM 606817 Grease Plug
The Hustler OEM 606817 Grease Plug is designed as a Removable Grease Plug to Allow the Operator or Maintenance Personal to Remove 606817 Gease Plug and Add Grease to the Front Axle Only after long Duration of Usages or When Doing Repairs or Maintenance on the Front Caster Tube. One May Ask why A Grease Plug Instead of a Grease Zirk the Answer Is to Discourage Greasing with Other Grease Points During Necessary Maintenance Which Eliminates a Very Common Problem with Bearing and Grease Seals (Over-Greasing). Hustler OEM 606817 Grease Plugs are Installed in the Front Axle or Caster Tubes with Tapered Roller Bearings, Bearing Races and Grease Seals to Unsure Front Axles Only Periodically will be Grease - the Only time Front Caster Tubes Should Be Greased is when Grease is Lost from Extended Time of Usage or When Grease is Lost by do Maintenance and Repairs on the Front Casters or Axles. Over Greasing of the Front Axle will Result in Pushing the Seals out and Possibly Pushing the Dust Caps Off which would Allow Grease to Accumulate Outside Contamination which would be Rotated Through the Roller Bearings at some Point.
