The rugged MVP 3^™ v-plow gives you all the power, productivity and performance you need for commercial snowplowing. With extreme flared wings, up to 45″ on the heavy-duty 10′ 6″ model, and double-acting cylinders, the MVP 3 v-plow has earned its reputation as a reliable plow by consistently delivering on what matters most—getting more jobs done faster.

Features

• Plow Blade Construction - The MVP 3^™ flared v-plow blades soar from a 35″ center height up to a full 45″ at the outer edge on heavy-duty 10′ 6″ models. The MVP 3 v-plow is available in 14-gauge powder coated, stainless steel, and 1/4″ high-density polyethylene in 8′ 6″ and 9′ 6″ widths. 10′ 6″ models are available in 11-gauge powder-coated steel and 12-gauge stainless steel options. All MVP 3 models feature a clean-scraping 70-degree attack angle, and come with a standard 6″ high-carbon steel cutting edge to reduce wear and extend the life of the blade.

• Structural Reinforcement - Eight vertical ribs on 8′ 6″, 9′ 6″ and 10′ 6″ models, combined with the exclusive WESTERN^® POWER BAR, provide exceptional torsional strength and rigidity to eliminate blade twisting. The high-strength steel base channel provides extra support along the bottom of the plow blade. A 1¼”-diameter, heat-treated steel center pin resides within a three-connection-point hinge, keeping the wings tight for optimal performance.

• Reliable Hydraulics - We manufacture our own hydraulic components to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability, so that you get a hydraulics system that’s not only fast and responsive, but that’s built to last season after season. Fully enclosed components are protected from the elements.

• Double-Acting Cylinders - As a standard feature on the MVP 3^™, UltraLock double-acting cylinders allow the operator to use the v-plow in straight blade mode by locking the wings together instead of having to toggle each wing independently. The double-acting cylinders also hold the wings firmly in place for clean, efficient back dragging.

• Steel Center Gap Cover - For the cleanest pass in any blade configuration, the MVP 3^™ v-plow has a snow control gap cover over the center hinge to help deflect and prevent snow from being lost over the top of the blade.

• Trip Protection - Each blade features independent trip-edge design with heavy-duty coil springs for protection when encountering bumps and obstacles. Whether in V, scoop, or straight blade configuration, the trip edge helps protect the plow, the truck, and the operator. Since only the edge trips, snow remains in front of the blade, so you can keep going without spilling the entire load of snow.

• 10' 6" Heavy-Duty Features - 10’6″ MVP 3^™ v-plow models come standard with specific heavy-duty features.

  • Blade Construction: Thicker moldboards and a more robust base angle with additional hinge points.
  • Heavy-Duty T-Frame: Features a solid, one piece construction, from front to back, and an oscillating pivot bar.
  • Standard Blade Angle Stops: Designed to transfer extreme impacts throughout the blade’s structure and reduce stress on the hydraulic rams.

   

• Curb Guards - Go right up to the edge with bolt-on curb guards. Protect the outer edge of your MVP 3™ snow plow from wear when plowing along sidewalks and curbs. Made of cast metal, each curb guard effectively protects the outer edge of the plow.

• UltraMount® 2 Snowplow Mounting System - The UltraMount^® 2 system is designed for fast and easy installation and removal using a simple mechanical system. It features a robust one-piece design and is 100% compatible with UltraMount^® system mounts and electrical platforms.

• Chain Lift System - The mechanical chain lift system offers a variety of performance and reliability advantages over a hydraulic system. Main benefits include cleaner scraping performance, higher stacking capabilities, reliability, and easy recovery in the event of a breakdown.

• Fleet Flex Electrical System - WESTERN hopper spreaders are designed with FLEET FLEX technology for easy interchangeability between electric hopper spreaders without having to change the wiring or the controls. It provides easy operation, increased reliability, simple wiring, and easy installation. Additionally, accessories automatically integrate into the control for easy plug-and-play.

• Plow Control Options - Choose between a CabCommand hand-held control with push buttons or a joystick control, based on operator preference. For efficient, precise and intuitive blade control while plowing, both controls feature power “on” and “float” LED lights, backlighting for night operation, and plug-in connector for easy removal.

• Security Guard Anti-Theft System - The exclusive WESTERN^® SECURITY GUARD^™ snowplow anti-theft system is a safe and secure way to electronically lock your snow plow when it is detached from your truck as a deterrent from theft. Unlike physical locks that can easily be cut or removed, the system allows you to electronically lock the snowplow’s hydraulic functions, rendering your plow inoperable to unauthorized users.

• Isolation Module - This advanced snow plow light and electrical system features improved electrical pins in the harness for trouble-free connections. An underhood module improves system life and complies with OEM requirements. No toggle switch needed to change from vehicle to plow lights.

• ULTRAFINISH™ Baked On Powder Coat - The ULTRAFINISH^™ baked on powder coat with epoxy primer is standard on all WESTERN^® plows, providing outstanding protection against wear and rust.

• Pre-Punched Blades for Accessories - The blade is pre-punched for easy installation of accessories, providing a custom fit. The pre-punched holes also prevent damage to the powder coat that can sometimes occur when installing an accessory.
