Description
Oregon 14" Low-Kickback Semi-Chisel Chainsaw Chain – 3/8" Low Profile, .043" Gauge, 52 Drive Links
Keep your chainsaw cutting smoothly and efficiently with this Oregon 14" Low-Kickback Semi-Chisel Chainsaw Chain. Designed for homeowners cutting trees and firewood around their property as well as landscape professionals who occasionally use a chainsaw, this chain combines dependable cutting performance with a user-friendly reduced-kickback design. Oregon's proprietary cutter technology provides a sharp, durable cutting edge that delivers efficient cutting performance with less effort.
Chain fitment depends on your guide bar specifications—not just chainsaw model or bar length.
Always verify your current chain specifications:
- 14" Bar Length
- 3/8" Low Profile Pitch
- .043" (1.1 mm) Narrow Kerf Gauge
- 52 Drive Links
Model fitment alone does not guarantee compatibility. Many chains and guide bars look similar but use different pitch, gauge, and drive link combinations.
Low-Kickback Design: This chain uses bumper drive links to help reduce kickback and meets the kickback performance requirements of ANSI B175.1-2012 when tested according to the provisions of that standard.
If you're unsure, contact us with your chainsaw model number, guide bar information, and current chain number, and we'll help verify the correct replacement before you order.

What This Chain Does
This Oregon semi-chisel chain is designed to provide dependable cutting performance while remaining more forgiving and user-friendly than aggressive professional full-chisel chains. The semi-chisel cutter profile delivers smooth cutting performance for property maintenance, pruning, firewood cutting, storm cleanup, and other everyday chainsaw applications.
The narrow-kerf .043" gauge design helps reduce the amount of wood removed during each cut, making it well suited for smaller chainsaws. Oregon's LubriTec™ system helps distribute oil to the chain and guide bar to reduce friction and wear, while bumper drive links provide added kickback reduction for improved operator control.

Installation Tips
- Shut the chainsaw off and disconnect the spark plug or battery before performing chain or guide bar service.
- Verify the guide bar requires 3/8" Low Profile pitch, .043" gauge chain with 52 drive links before installation.
- Do not substitute standard 3/8" pitch chain for 3/8" Low Profile chain. The chain must match the guide bar and drive sprocket specifications.
- Clean the guide bar groove and oil passages before installing the new chain.
- Inspect the guide bar and drive sprocket for excessive or uneven wear before installing a new chain.
- Install the chain with the cutter edges facing forward across the top of the guide bar.
- Make sure all 52 drive links are properly seated in the guide bar groove and drive sprocket.
- Adjust chain tension according to the chainsaw manufacturer's specifications and recheck tension after initial use.
- Use the top-plate filing indicators as a reference when sharpening the chain.
- Maintain the correct cutter angles and depth gauge settings to preserve cutting performance and the chain's designed kickback characteristics.
