Hustler OEM 788364 V-Idler Pulley
The Hustler OEM 788364 Mower Deck V-Idler is manufactured with strong sealed steel alloy and high-quality ball bearings to ensure dependable operation in harsh, wet, hot, and dirty conditions. Built to original specifications, this V-Idler is designed to maintain correct belt tracking and tension on the Mower Deck. Rough or Damaged Idler Pulley Bearing May cause slippage, premature belt wear, and vibration. V-Idler Pulleys are only Designed to Retain the Belt V or Belt Rib some Belts might Contain a Dual V or Rib.
Note: Below the Model Fit Chart and in the Images, there is a Charts/Image Diagrams with Listed Models under the Images to Help with the Exact Idler Pulley Placement and Idler Pulley Association. Model Numbers under each Image will contain the Idler Pulley Orientation as listed in the Images Above the Model List. Idler Pulley Preventive Maintenance & Replacement Checks
A Worn Idler Pulley OR Rough Idler Pulley Bearings may cause squealing, vibration, uneven cutting, or frequent Mower Deck Belt failure. If the Idler Pulley Bearings feels rough, noisy, or loose, replacement is recommended. Preventive Idler Pulley Problems can be Checked by Periodically Removing the Belt Tension and Mower Deck Belt and Spinning the Idler Pulleys to Determine if they Have Rough Bearings and Wiggling them to see if there is Excessive Play Remember a Bad Idler Pulley Can Always Contribute to Additional Mower Deck Component Failures - Always be sure to Check and Clean the V in the V-Idlers from Debris if you are Experiencing excessive Mower V Wear.

Installation Tips
- Disconnect spark plug wires - To Prevent Accidental Starting.
- Release Mower Deck Belt Tension Spring before removing the Old Idler Pulley.
- Remove Idler Pulley
- Inspect the Idler Arm and/or Idler Slide for excessive play - Inspect Mower Deck Belt for Excessive Wear - Inspect other Existing Idler Pulleys for Excessive Wear or Rough Bearings that could Potentially Locking Up Causing Damage to additional Parts and Components.
- Install New Idler Pulley
- Torque Mounting Bolt securely OR Nut (.625 or 5/8 Fasteners, Torque to 90 ft.- lbs. or 122 Nm) — do not overtighten as this may damage the pulley bearing.
- After installation, verify proper belt routing and tension before starting mower.
- Start Unit - Engage the Mower Deck - Disengage Mower - Shut Unit Off - Verify Mower Deck Belt Stayed in its Intended Place.
