- X-ONE, X-RIDE, Super Z, Super Z HD, Diesel Z, Super SF, Super 88 and Super 104, Trimstar (Model 9292320 - Usage Depending on Idler Pulley Size Refer To The Images Above) - Mower Deck - Attaches to the Idler Tensioner Slide and Provides Tension Between the Idler Pulley and the Mower Deck Belt - Spring Tension Measurement Necessary for Models With a Tensioner Link Chain or Slide Refer to the Adj Direction Below.
For Models with a Chain Tensioner, Correct Mower Deck Belt Tension is Necessary. On Models with a 781302 Spring, Slide Tensioner and Chain - Hustler uses a **spring measurement from outside hook to outside hook** - Spring measurement from hook to hook should be 9.3 in. - 10.0 in. Review the Image Below for example of Measurement. (For Additional Spring Measurement Length Refer to manufacturer notes in Mower Deck Belt routing section of Service Manual).
NOTE: Some Hustler Super 104 Models will use Two Different Mower Deck Tension Springs Part Number 781302 and Part Number 607616. Above in the Images The correct placement for 781302 should be Marked with A Yellow Dot (On the Tension Slide) and the correct placement for Part Number 607616 should be Marked with a Green Dot (On the Tension Arm). Part Number 781302 should be Thicker with a Thicker Tang and more Pyramid Design. Part Number 607616 should be Narrower and have a Narrower Tang with a Straighter Design. A Common Visual indicator as to which one is the correct Mower Deck Tension Spring for your Unit is by comparing the Measurements with Measurement in the Images Above. Hustler OEM 781302 (Which is the Newer Version) should Be Thicker, have a Wider Tang and more Pyramid Shaped than 607616 Mower Deck Tension Spring which should have a Narrower Tang, Overall Width should be Narrower and a Straighter in Design. If you have a Narrower, Straighter Mower Deck Tension Spring And need to be redirected, click on Part Number 607616.
- Super S - Hydraulic Tensioner Arms and Brake Return Linkage - Park Brake Return Does Not Need Any Adj. However, the Hydraulic Tension Spring Is Retain by Threaded Bolt and Does Require Spring Tension - Refer Below for Proper Hydraulic Spring Tension Measurement. 781302 is Not Used 36" Models (Refer To 606380) as The Hydraulic Tensioner Spring and Only Used in the Brake Return Linkage.
