Hustler OEM 606714 Grease Seal
Hustler OEM 606714 Lower Caster Fork Seal is used in the Caster Fork Application and is installed in the Lower Side of the Caster Fork Tube to Contain Grease in the Caster Fork Tube. 606714 Lower Grease Seal is Designed to keep Contaminants Out and Grease/Lubrication In, This Seal Plays a Critical Role in Extending the life of the Caster Fork Bearings.

Assembly Notes
WHEN CHANGING 606714 GREASE SEAL:
- When Removing the Lower Seal, It Is Necessary to Remove the Dust Cap - Loosen and Remove the Lock Nut and Remove the Caster Fork.
- When Removing the Lower Seal - After Seal Has Been Remove the Lower Bearing is Prone to Fall out - If this Happens Make Sure It is Re-Assembled with the Taper Fitting into the Outer Bearing Race Taper Properly (the Roller Bearing & the Bearing Race Tapers Should Mate) Before Installing the New Seal.
- Be Sure to Pack the Voided Areas where Grease Had Been Lost inside the Caster Fork Tubing - this will Ensures the Bearing Rollers and Race Surface Don't Overheat from Lack of Lubrication - If Necessary, Remove the Grease Plug After Installing the Caster Fork and Install a 1/4" Grease Zirk to Install Grease Into The Voided Areas of the Caster Tubing.

When Assembling the Washer on Caster Fork Ass. - Be Sure to Install the Cup on the Washers as Installed in the Images Below - Requires Three Washers Per Caster Axle.
- Over Tightening the Tapered Bearing into the Bearing Race when Re-Assembling the Caster Fork Could Reduce the Rotation of the Caster Fork and Wheel as Well as Affect Drive Track and Cause Pre-Mature Wear on the Bearing Rollers and Race - Be Sure to Refer to The Correct Caster Fork Directions For your Unit for Complete Caster Fork Installations as well as Caster Fork Fastener Torque Specifications.
