Idler Pulley Preventive Maintenance & Replacement Checks

A Worn Idler Pulley OR Rough Idler Pulley Bearings may cause squealing, vibration, uneven cutting, or frequent Mower Deck Belt failure. If the Idler Pulley Bearings feels rough, noisy, or loose, replacement is recommended. Preventive Idler Pulley Problems can be Checked by Periodically Removing the Belt Tension and Mower Deck Belt and Spinning the Idler Pulleys to Determine if they Have Rough Bearings and Wiggling them to see if there is Excessive Play Remember a Bad Idler Pulley Can Always Contribute to Additional Mower Deck Component Failures.

Part Function & Usage
