  3. Take a visual Documentation of Parts (a quick phone photo helps).

2) Disconnect the control linkage

  1. Note routing/attachment of the deflector control cable and any clamp points - Detach Deflector Control Cable (often the cable clamp can get bent or mispositioned).
  2. Unhook the Deflector Link by Removing the deflector pivot fasteners (Carriage BoltsPivot BushingsNuts) from the deflector as needed (retain hardware).
  3. If equipped, carefully relieve tension and remove the extension spring (don’t let it snap back).

3) Remove the deflector assembly

  1. Remove Hardware Carriage Bolts & Lock Nuts from the Deflectors Hinged Erea from the Upper and Lower Discharge Chute Deflector Assembly and Remove the Upper Discharge Chute Deflector.
  2. Remove Hardware Carriage Bolts & Lock Nuts from the Deflectors Hinged Erea from the Lower Discharge Chute Deflector and the Main Discharge Chute or Stack Assembly and Remove the Lower Discharge Chute Deflector from the Main Discharge Chute/Stack.

4) Inspect the “sandwich stack” - Gasket & Pivot Linkage & Hardware

  1. Inspect/replace the Pivot Bushings & Deflector Link if worn/ovalized (common).
  2. Inspect/replace Gaskets in Both the Upper and Lower Discharge Chute Deflectors (Replace If you see cracking, leakage, or misalignment)
