Installation Tips (Chute Deflector Replacement)
- Safety first: Engine OFF, key removed and disconnect the spark plug wire before working near the chute/impeller area.
- Visual Documentation: Raise the deflector and note the spring orientation before disassembly (a quick phone photo helps).
- Remove: The pins/springs/trigger parts to the new deflector as needed - All Components are Clip Together (common: 136-8672 hinge pin, 136-7136 compression spring, 117-2314 trigger).
- Transfer or Assemble: The pins/springs/trigger parts to the new deflector as needed - All Components are Clip Together (common: 136-8672 hinge pin, 136-7136 compression spring, 117-2314 trigger).
- Test Cycle the Deflector Chute full up/down: Operate the Deflector Chute Trigger and Rotate Deflector Chute Up and Down confirming it holds position and does not bind.
