Installation
- Safety first: Engine OFF, key removed and disconnect the spark plug wire before working near the chute/impeller area.
- Visual Documentation: Raise the deflector and note the spring orientation before disassembly (a quick phone photo helps).
- Remove: The pin/springs/trigger parts as needed - All Components are Clip Together or Inter Fit to Retain Each Other - Hinge Chute Deflector Pin's Retaining Ring 104-8310 Pushes on and is Retained with Little Metal Reversed Locking Tabs that may Require it to be Bent out of Shape or Cut when Removing it off the Chute Deflector Pin so it is always Recommended Replacing it when Removing the Chute Deflector Pin (common: 136-8672 Hinge Pin, 104-8310 Chute Deflector Pin's Retaining Ring, 136-7136 Compression Spring, 108-4941 Trigger, 117-9121 or 147-1796 Chute Deflector). * Chute Deflector can also be Un-Bolted from the Main Discharge Chute, Chute Deflector, Seal Erea and Independently Disassembled and Re-Assembled for Convenience.
